Today is the final day of the 9th Azerbaijan International Agriculture Exhibition, Caspian Agro 2015, organized by Caspian Event Organisers (CEO) at the Baku Expo Centre. The inclusion of the exhibition in the Action Plan for the ‘Year of Agriculture’, approved by H.E. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has become an important event in the exhibition’s history.

And this year, while touring the exhibition, the President also familiarized himself with the stands of leading manufacturers and distributors of agricultural products and equipment.
Heydar Asadov, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, made a speech at the opening ceremony and noted that the agricultural sector was one of the main focuses of the non-oil sector of the economy, particularly food safety, competitiveness and imports. The Minister stressed that within the framework of the ‘Year of Agriculture’, we were facing new important tasks in order to ensure a radical change in the development of the agricultural sector. H. Both events effectively complement each other and they have greatly enhanced the profiles of participants and brought together 293 companies from 39 countries.
Foreign participants of Caspian Agro 2015 believe that it is an effective platform for studying advanced techniques, highlighting the competitiveness of Azerbaijani agricultural products in the food market and that it has a positive influence on the growth of investments. The same opinion is shared by many farmers and heads of Azerbaijani agricultural companies, who have come to the exhibition from all over the country.
The exhibition has a positive impact on the growth of business ties and the consolidation of international cooperation in the agricultural sector. This has been stated to journalists many times by manufacturers and distributors of agricultural products and equipment from Germany, Greece, Italy, Spain, Russia, USA, Turkey, Ukraine and France. The exhibition is a place where foreign businessmen have been able to meet a lot of new companies who are preparing to enter Azerbaijan’s agricultural market. Thus, the global market has been enriched by a mix of experiences from various industry leaders, as well as the enthusiasm of a new generation of agribusiness specialists.
The exhibition covered all relevant spheres of agriculture; it vastly and vividly presented animal husbandry, irrigation, sprinkler irrigation and other systems, harvesting, seeding equipment and combine harvesters produced in Russia, Azerbaijan, Italy, Finland, Germany and many other countries.
